About MoonCrumble
MoonCrumble is an independent search engine built to be simple, private, and transparent.
Some search engines claim to be private, but under the hood are US-hosted and powered by the same big tech corporations their users believe they are avoiding.
We offer an alternative that is truly EU-hosted end-to-end and has no connection to US big tech.
We are just getting started, so join us in our journey as we expand our index.
We invite you to change your default search engine and homepage to mooncrumble.com.
What MoonCrumble indexes
MoonCrumble may include results from:
- websites that have been crawled by MoonCrumble
- public datasets and importers
- RSS or API sources where use is permitted
- selected live providers where configured
For normal web crawling, MoonCrumble aims to respect robots.txt and related indexing signals.
If you have a website you would like to be indexed, please get in touch below. We charge a €2 fee to be indexed to ensure legitimacy and fund our hosting costs. Companies with over €1m turnover may be charged more.
News results
News search is intentionally limited. Many major news feeds and APIs have terms that restrict commercial reuse, so MoonCrumble favours sources that can be indexed or displayed safely.
That means news coverage may be narrower than large commercial search engines.
If you own an independant news source and would like to be indexed, please get in touch below.
Advertising
We offer advertising options that are independant from the big ad networks, with no tracking to ensure privacy for our users. If you would like to advertise, please contact us below.
Independence
MoonCrumble is independent and nonpartisan. We are not affiliated with any political party, campaign, advocacy group, or ideological organisation, and we do not accept hidden political or special-interest funding.
MoonCrumble is not affiliated with the publishers shown in search results unless stated otherwise.
Search results link out to the original source. MoonCrumble does not try to replace publisher websites.
